Taking people’s characteristics and shapeshifting into them has become more strategic. James Heller can shape shift and presume other people’s identities and memories by overshadowing them. The tale is also one of payback, as Heller wants to kill Alex Mercer, hero of the original Prototype, after his family was killed in the eruption of the Blacklight virus. The game has introduced a new character, James Heller, as he goes on a mission to obliterate the Blacklight virus.
